The
Library
The
Institute houses a well equipped library in a duplex structure
and has a very rich collection of more than 25,000 resource
materials including text books, reference books, thesis,
journals and periodicals in Pure and Applied sciences,
Home science, Microbiology and Education besides fiction
and encyclopedia. The library subscribes to about 40 national
and international journals. The library is completely
automated with computerized catalogue and bar coded books
& smart cards available to the users. There is a comfortable
and spacious reference section providing ample opportunity
to the students to study, refer to or flip through literature.
The library has internet facilities for the students and
an intranet link up with University of Delhi. Photocopying
services and computers are available in the library for
the benefit of the students. The library is manned by
well qualified and efficient computer literate staff.
The library has a good collection of books in the book
bank so that needy students can issue books for a longer
period of time. The library works throughout the year
except a few national holidays. |

The
Laboratories
The
Institute has several laboratories such as Physics, Chemistry,
Biochemistry, Microbiology, Therapeutic Nutrition, Human
Development, Apparel designing, Clothing construction,
Resource Management, Communication and Extension. The
laboratories are naturally lit, very well ventilated,
spacious and well-equipped. All the labs are provided
with computer facilities & internet for the benefit of
the staff and students. It is indeed an enriching and
enjoyable experience to work in any of these laboratories. |

Photocopy
Station
Photocopying and printing services are available at the
Institute to facilitate the academic work of students
on all working days. |

The
Bookshop
There
is a bookshop at the Institute where books, stationery
& other materials required by the students for their practical
work are available. It is open throughout the college
working hours. |

Conference
Room
The
Institute has a spacious, air conditioned state of the
art conference room on the first floor fitted with modern
audio-visual facilities for conducting conferences and
workshops. It is here that the students and faculty present
seminars & make research-related presentations & hone
their communications skills. |

College
Automation
All the academic and administrative aspects of the Institute
are fully automated and integrated. Each student is issued
an online-multidomain-value card by which she can access
records of internal assessment, attendance & library services.
The election of students council is also held on line. |

Computer
Lab
The
Institute has two computer labs equipped with 40 computers
loaded with the latest software and internet connectivity
for use by students, research scholars and faculty. Many
classes of undergraduates and post graduate students that
require the use of computers are held in the computer
lab. A new state-of- the-art computer lab housing 60 computers
with internet connectivity is being set up on the third
floor of the institute. It will be operational from the
current academic year. |

Audio
Studio
The
Institute has a state-of-the-art audio studio, housed
in twin sound proof rooms, equipped with 16 channel analog
audio mixer, audio-monitor, speakers & two track sound
card. The studio is used to train students in various
aspects of radio journalism. |

Nursery
School
The
Institute runs a nursery school, which is managed by the
Department of Human Development. The nursery school provides
a caring & stimulating environment to the children, under
the guidance of experts from the field of child development. |

College
Café
The
Institute has a canteen on its premises serving a wide
variety of snacks and beverages at affordable prices during
college hours. A canteen committee comprising of faculty
members and students monitors the working of the canteen
facilities throughout the year. |
